Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act Is Here

After a rocky first few weeks, the Health Insurance Marketplace is open for business. Starting this weekend, Texans Together will be at The Mint Resource Center to help people enroll in the coverage they need from the Affordable Care Act.

Our organizers will be on site offering information to individuals and families shopping for insurance. Trained Navigators will assist consumers in evaluating their health care needs and deciding which policy is right for them.

If you and your family needs assistance, stop by from noon to 3:00 on Saturdays and 1:00 to 4:00 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  We’ll be glad to help!

Starting October 19th, 2013

Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 1PM to 4PM
Saturdays: 12Noon to 3PM

Address:

The Mint Resource Center
6700 S. Dairy Ashford, Apt. 410
Houston, TX

Use the the check list to help you gather what you need to apply for coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

A – Social Security Numbers (or document for legal immigrants)

B -  Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage (for example, from pay stubs or W-2 forms  – Wage and Tax statements)

C – Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household.
