Dinesh D’Souza should know better
Dinesh D’Souza sent out a tweet yesterday that said “I am thankful this week when I remember that America is big enough and great enough to survive Grown-Up Trayvon in the White House!” Dinesh D’Souza is not very smart but he is not a stupid man. He knows his twitter account is watched by both Liberals and Conservatives alike.
Dinesh D’Souza likely tweeted the racist and intolerant message for publicity. Is giving him the publicity he seeks a good thing? Yes! In Dinesh D’Souza’s diminutive mind he miscalculated the opportunity cost of this one sentence tweet. His publicity is sure to be a net negative.
Dinesh D’Souza has always been one of President Obama’s biggest critics. He could only be described as a deceptive hack. He made the inflammatory documentary ‘2016: Obama’s America’. He also wrote the book ‘The Roots of Obama’s Rage’. In the back cover of this book he writes,
We are today living out the script for America and the world that was dreamt up not by Obama but by Obama’s father. How do I know this? Because Obama says so himself. Reflect for a moment on the title of his book: it’s not Dreams of My Father but rather Dreams from My Father. In other words, Obama is not writing a book about his father’s dreams; he is writing a book about the dreams that he got from his father.
Think about what this means. The most powerful country in the world is being governed according to the dreams of a Luo tribesman of the 1950s—a polygamist who abandoned his wives, drank himself into stupors, and bounced around on two iron legs (after his real legs had to be amputated because of a car crash caused by his drunk driving). This philandering, inebriated African socialist, who raged against the world for denying him the realization of his anti-colonial ambitions, is now setting the nation’s agenda through the reincarnation of his dreams in his son. The son is the one who is making it happen, but the son is, as he candidly admits, only living out his father’s dream. The invisible father provides the inspiration, and the son dutifully gets the job done. America today is being governed by a ghost.
This fact-less statement assumes a rather uninformed reader. How can a father who was barely in the president’s life have any meaningful effect on his overall personality, ambitions, or actions? It is evident from the words he chose that more important to him was to raise racial and nationalistic carnal and irrational fears.
In the inside flap of his book there is this description of the President.
The real Obama is a man shaped by experiences far different from those of most Americans; he is a much stranger, more determined, and exponentially more dangerous man than you’d ever imagined. He is not motivated by the civil rights struggles of African Americans in the 1960s—those battles leave him wholly untouched. He is not motivated by the socialist or Marxist propaganda that hypnotized a whole generation of wooly–minded academics and condescending liberals—those concepts also leave him cold.
What really motivates Barack Obama is an inherited rage—an often masked, but profound rage that comes from his African father; an anticolonialist rage against Western dominance, and most especially against the wealth and power of the very nation Barack Obama now leads. It is this rage that explains the previously inexplicable, and that gives us a startling look at what might lie ahead.
In The Roots of Obama’s Rage you’ll learn: Why Obama’s economic policies are actually designed to make America poorer compared to the rest of the world Why Obama will welcome a nuclear Iran Why Obama sees America as a rogue nation—worse than North Korea The real reason Obama banished a bust of Winston Churchill from the White House and ordered NASA to praise the scientific contributions of Muslims Why Obama would like to make America’s superpower status a thing of the past.
How can anyone who writes a book that says those things be taken seriously? Unfortunately many Americans have taken Dinesh D’Souza’s words seriously. It is for this reason that when folks like Dinesh D’Souza expounds their hate, they are immediately called out. Absent that, their cancer metastasizes in the minds of the uninformed and misinformed.
The imagined flaws that Dinesh D’Souza attempts to find in Obama will be seen as nothing but projection. One must remember that inasmuch as he continuously attacks the morals of others, it is he that was found in a compromising position. He may have hoped that President Obama would be impeached. Unfortunately, it was him, Dinesh D’Souza who was ‘impeached’ from the presidency of King College for not living up to the expectations of his ilk.

Really sad and childish. The Republican party represents selfishness, racism, greed and self hate. They are filled with so much hatred and jealousy for the President that they can’t focus on anything else.

don’t be ashamed for him…be ashamed OF him

Sadly, this is the type of bunk we have come to expect from nutjobs like D’Souza (although normally I expect it from old white guys on the fringe and not a man of ANY other color). As soon as I saw his name I rolled my eyes and laughed. Not because it’s funny, mind, but because of my many elders in NC that asked me if I’d seen his movie and what Id thought. It was a pleasure to enlighten them. Have a great thanksgiving.
