Eric Holder slams Louie Gohmert: What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?

Attorney General Eric Holder slams Louie Gohmert in Congress and at National Action Network

Attorney General Eric Holder went off script at the National Action Network civil rights conference. He said what most objective people have been stating for years. Eric Holder and President Obama’s treatment is more than basic partisanship. It is a hate rooted in much more.

Even as Attorney General Eric Holder pointed that out, he did not dwell on the racial aspect. Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) did not hold back however. He illustrates where most of the President’s hateful opposition is coming from, the old confederacy.

Should anyone doubt where Louie Gohmert’s heart is, they need only recall what he had to say about civil rights a few months ago. It is probative.

“There is nobody in this chamber who is more appreciative than I am for the gentleman from Tennessee and my friend from Michigan standing up for the rights of race, religion, national religion of the Delta Smelt, the snail darter, various lizards, the lesser prairie chicken, the greater sage grouts and so many other insects who would want someone standing for their religion, their race, their national origin and I think that’s wonderful.”

Make no mistake. Attorney General Holder was not playing the race card. Both he and the president, knowing that accusation is ready and cocked on the tongue of many attempt to stay away from that issue. Even when the Tea Party displayed racist epithets of the president throughout their rallies he ignored them.

Are there any doubts? Can anyone objectively say that race plays no part in the current politics withing the Obama administrator? To have real discourse one must begin with honest assessments.

Well as bad as President Obama has had it and it has been bad on a scale that I have not see before, I have never seen or heard the kind of awful, mean, and just evil things said about anyone like I have about Michelle Obama. Why she send the hate meter to 11 is something that I do not know for sure but If I had to guess it is because she is a strong smart woman who does not drop her eyes or give a curtsy but looks them in the eye. That is the only thing I could come up with… She caught heck even when her message was to drink more water. That is about as benign a message as to remember to breathe so it is clear this is a hate bound deep to something else.
