President Obama’s news conference – 8 million enrolled in Obamacare – It’s working (VIDEO)

April 17, 2014 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

President Obama gave a solid and strong performance at his news conference today. Above is a representative snippet from the news conference. Watch it in its entirety and share it.

Highlights of the news conference on Obamacare.

  • 8 Million+ citizens are now enrolled in Obamacare.
  • 35% of citizens enrolled in Obamacare are under 35 years old.
  • Obamacare has brought economic security to all consumers of health insurance.
  • Over 14 million have received insurance over the exchanges and via the Medicaid expansion to Obamacare.
  • Medical cost is now growing at less than 1/2 previous rates.
  • Obamacare is shrinking the deficits.
  • It is fact that repealing Obamacare would increase the budget deficit, raise premiums, and take away insurance from millions of Americans.

The president then said triumphantly that it is fact that the Affordable Care Act is working. President Obama chided Republicans for their continued intransigence.

I find it strange that the Republican position on this law is still stuck in the same place that it has always been. They still can’t bring themselves to admit that the Affordable Care Act is working. They said nobody would sign up. They were wrong about that. They said it would be unaffordable for the country. They were wrong about that. They were wrong to keep trying to repeal a law that is working when they had no alternative answer for millions of Americans with preexisting conditions who would be denied coverage again, or every woman who would be charged more for just being a woman again. …

It is well past time to move on as a country and refocus our energies on the issues that the American people are most concerned about. And that continues to be the economy. Cause these endless fruitless repeal efforts come at a cost. The 50 or so votes Republicans have taken to repeal this law could have been 50 votes to create jobs. … 50 votes to make it easier for middle class families to send their kids to college. Or 50 votes to raise the minimum wage. Or restore unemployment insurance. … The repeal debate is and should be over.

The president went on to excoriate Republican governors for denying millions of their citizens’ healthcare coverage out of spite. These citizens qualify for healthcare insurance at no cost to their states.

The president then in no uncertain terms told Democrats they should be proud of the achievement and run on the success of Obamacare.

If Democrats grow a spine and not cower to the unknown it would be good for all Americans. Republicans’ biggest fear is that Democrats all at once start campaigning on Obamacare. They fear a concerted effort of truth telling that will show that the opponents of Obamacare have placed their ideology over morality and humanity.

Besides Bundy being a freeloader for 20 years… We need to find out what this is all about: On April 3, 2012, Bloomberg reported Chinese billionaire Wang Yusuo, one of China’s richest citizens and the founder of ENN, had teamed up with Harry Reid to win incentives including land 113 miles southeast of Las Vegas that ENN sought to buy for $4.5 million, less than one-eighth of the land’s $38.6 million assessed value.

Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nev.

A Reuters report stated: “[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert. Reid has been one of the project’s most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada. His son, a lawyer with a prominent Las Vegas firm that is representing ENN, helped it locate a 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare)
