Shameful inhumane behavior against immigrants by Americans who have forgotten their history
American Citizens in Murrieta California should be ashamed of themselves. Their lack of compassion for their fellow human beings is appalling.
The Mexican border is bursting at the seems from refugees coming from Central America for various reasons. Some reasons are economic. Some reasons include the escape from violence. The legalities of dealing with this type of refugee influx were established in 2002 and modified in 2008.
There is however a humanitarian side that supersedes legalities. The video of the angry mob that blocked the buses from temporarily housing women and children refugees as they are processed by Homeland Security is shameful. It displayed a lack of humanity that people across the world are now privy to.
Generally mobs like these typically love to promote themselves as Christian American patriots as they wrap themselves in the American flag. One wonders if they’ve forgotten Jesus’ teachings (Matthew 25:41-46).
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, i‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Even more importantly, this mob seem to have forgotten America’s past history and America’s present actions. Before forcefully and angrily throwing immigrants out, they should remember that the many founders of this nation themselves were immigrants. They should remember as well that they came here as well to make a better life for themselves.
The big difference is that in the process of migrating to this land the ‘first’ immigrants violently took the land and enslaved a people to profit from the land. The intrinsic benevolence of many fought to make this country not what it was but what it was to become, a more inclusive country attempting to widen democracy.
Immigrants coming to America today do not have conquest on their minds. They just want a better life. They just want access to success.
Many of those coming over from Central America are themselves victims of our policies. Americans prosper as raw resources and cheap labor are extracted from these countries and their people. They are aided by a Central American oligarchy and a band of degenerate thugs that are the conduits of the exploitation.
Those protesting immigrants would do well to learn some history. They should realize that they themselves are but pawns in a game most in the lower and middle-classes are losing.

Egberto –
You don’t get it, do you? Throughout the developed world, right-wing parties are having a field day on the immigration issue. There is always going to be some cultural resistance, but when you have the working class and middle class facing increasing unemployment, stalled wages, greater debt, and onerous taxation – the result should be pretty obvious.
Look at the success of Marine Le Pen’s Front National in France and Golden Dawn in Greece. UKIP, the Sweden Democrats, True Finns, Geert Wilders, and the Australian Coalition. It’s one thing to have large-scale immigration during an economic boom – quite another to have such an influx when there is the largest economic downturn since the Great Depression.
The coyote trade brings into question the degree to which these people are refugees of political and social conflict or seeking economic opportunity. There is an order to things in the American political landscape – – first the economy must grow, then there is more room for immigrants. If you put the cart before the horse, a right-wing political backlash is nearly certain.
