Fort Worth – Greg Abbott’s decision to hold a press conference at St. Joseph Women’s Medical Center discussing women’s health surrounded by nine men explains all Texans women need to know about his interest in working on their behalf.
“There is no better example of how unbelievably tone deaf Greg Abbott is regarding Texas women than his press conference yesterday discussing women’s health issues surrounded almost exclusively by a large group of men,” said Rebecca Acuna, spokesperson for the Wendy Davis campaign. “Abbott continues to one up himself by insulting Texas women — whether it’s his opposition to equal pay for equal work, paying women in his office less than men doing the same job or fighting to close down women’s health centers across the state.
