Jada’s vindication

Jada must feel vindicated today. She appeared once again on Ronan Farrow Daily to discuss how she is doing after the ordeal last summer.

Jada was sexually assaulted last summer. She went to a house hanging-out party and was seemingly drugged. She passed out and several boys took pictures and videos of her. Jada was raped. Photos of her entire ordeal went viral on social media. Jada did not cower nor did she hide under a rock. She spoke out then and she is speaking our now.

Click2Houston reported the following.

HOUSTON – A 19-year-old boy accused of participating in the gang rape of a teen girl at a party has been charged.

Clinton Onyeahialam was charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, Onyeahialam sexually assaulted two teen girls on June 1.

Jada, one of the victims, spoke out about her alleged rape after photos of the incident went viral on social media. Instead of remaining anonymous, Jada, along with family, friends and supporters, came forward to speak out against her perpetrators. …

An investigation led to the identification of Onyeahialam as one of the suspects accused in the sexual assault.  His bond was set at $30,000.

Quanell X held a press conference Tuesday on the steps of the Juvenile Justice Center, speaking about Jada’s ordeal and calling for justice.

Jada appeared on a follow up on Ronan Farrow Daily with her family spokesperson Quanell X. She said she was happy that she came out publicly with her ordeal. She advised that others in her situation should be truthful and do the same.

Quanell X stated that he and others are actively working with state officials to scrutinize online bullying. He said it should be a crime. Currently victims are scared of reporting incidences like Jada’s for fear of cyber-bullying.

When asked if she intended to keep working on the abuse issue and what she intended to do with the rest of her life, Jada had a very positive and hopeful answer. “I would like to work, keep working on this with others, like other people who are going through this and their future,” Jada said. “But I’d like to go to college and then become a pharmacist.”

She was asked if she had a last word for those behind the bullying in her case. “I don’t have anything to say to the ones who bullied me,” Jada replied. “But to the ones that supported me I want to say thank you.”

Well said Jada. You are an inspiration to many. And thanks Quanell X for sticking with this story when most simply had forgotten about it.
