Chuck Todd called out on air for showcasing black gun convicts in a week white gunman killed many (VIDEO)

Chuck Todd called out on air for showcasing black gun convicts

Is Chuck Todd and Meet the Press serious with this obvious misdirected piece?

I have been complaining about the traditional mainstream media for some time. They are biased and provide America with a distorted view of reality. Everyone is well aware that this week Dylann Roof, a white young man, a terrorist, murdered nine innocent and loving black people at the Emanuel AME Church. Most importantly it is well known that Dylann Roof is a gun toting white supremacist.

Yet Chuck Todd and Meet the Press chose to show a video of several convicted black men who killed with guns. They did it under the pretext of the gun control debate. It is hard to fathom why this video was shown. I will be honest, I became physically sick from the anger of what was obviously been done. It was an attempt by the corporate media to keep the conversation away from the reality that violence and evil is a human thing and not a racial thing. Further it is trying to change the debate away from the evil of a white racism and white supremacy and privilege that is endemic in this country. This type of video in this context is intended to affect the thought process subliminally.

There were two black people on the panel. I was eager to see their response. Thankfully Eugene Robinson in a very circumspect manner called it out. “I thought that was a very powerful piece,” Eugene Robinson said. “One small thing I would mention, cause I haven’t seen the whole piece, is it wasn’t a terribly diverse set of people who were talking. Right now we were talking about a horrific crime committed by a white man. We are talking about the search for two escaped murderers who are white men. So we should point out that this is not just an African American problem.”

Eugene Robinson was being very diplomatic. It was not a small thing. It was huge because it was attempting to change the focus of the conversation and actions that must be taken in this country.
