Donald Trump finally called out
Let’s give kudos to Jake Tapper who unlike many reporters that have questioned Donald Trump, failed to ask any questions relative to his serial hypocrisy. The following back and forth that appears in the video above says it all.
JAKE TAPPER: Let’s talk about same-sex marriage. You said a few years ago that you were evolving on that issue. Where are you?
DONALD TRUMP: I’m traditional marriage. It is changing rapidly.
JAKE TAPPER: But what do you say to a lesbian who’s married or a gay man who’s married who says, ‘Donald Trump, what’s traditional about being married 3 times?’
DONALD TRUMP: Well, they have a very good point. But you know, I’ve been a very hard-working person. I’ve had – actually I have a great marriage, I have a great wife now. My two wives were very good. And I don’t blame them, but I was working, maybe like you, 22 hours a day.
JAKE TAPPER: I’m not asking you to explain your divorces…
DONALD TRUMP: I blame myself because my business was so powerful for me. I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
JAKE TAPPER: But what do you say to a lesbian or gay man who is married and say…
DONALD TRUMP: I don’t say anything. I’m just for traditional marriage.
Many of these Republicans that continue their attempt in restricting the behaviors and rights of others seem to forget the old adage that when pointing there are at least 3 fingers pointing back at you. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin, preaching abstinence as she got pregnant out of wedlock twice is probative. The sexual ‘trouble’ every Republican Congressional leader was guilty of is probative.
It is important that the hypocrisy on the Right is called out every single time and called out frequently. If there is one thing to be learned from the Right Wing propaganda machine is that repetition is effective.
