Benjamin Netanyahu stands alone with warmongering Republicans & Democrats
Today a historic deal was made with Iran, the United States, and the other major powers of the world. It will prevent Iran from attaining a Nuclear bomb for at least another 10 years. The rest of the world reacted favorably to this aversion of potential conflict. That is most of the peace loving people and states of the world sans Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warmongering Republicans and Democratic politicians in the US.
Benjamin Netanyahu gave a press conference where he derided the agreement. It should be noted that he derided it before he even knew what was in it. According to the Huffington Post.
Netanyahu’s judgment of the 159-page agreement came before the public release of the text of the deal. He blamed the nuclear agreement on the willingness of the negotiators to reach a deal “at any cost,” a thinly veiled criticism of President Barack Obama, whom the Israeli premier has long sparred with on the topic of Iran’s nuclear program.
Joe Cirincione, PloughShares Fund President had a memorable statement about Netanyahu’s rather irresponsible response to the nuclear deal. “Well the prime minister is a terrific politician,” Cirincione said. “but he is a terrible nonproliferation expert. The overwhelming consensus of the nuclear policy experts indeed of the military and intelligent experts in Mr. Netanyahu’s own country is that this is a good deal.”
Joe Cirincione went on to state that except from Israel and a couple other states, the world is in agreement that it is a good deal. Our allies are all on board.
One should remember that decades ago Benjamin Netanyahu presented the same warmongering modal and was proving wrong. In fact, while the mainstream traditional news media was giving Netanyahu credence, Jon Stewart did the research and excoriated Netanyahu for his always wrong always warmongering ways. One hopes a foreign prime minister is not allowed to infiltrate the politics of the United States and coerce the advancement of this agreement.
