Jeb Bush sounding like his brother with drumbeat to war speech (VIDEO)

August 12, 2015 By Egberto Willies

Jeb Bush’s speech is setting the stage for war

Listen to Jeb Bush closely. He wants war. Like his failed brother, he would waste more American lives and money as he takes us to a war that cannot be won.

This time Politico hits it on the money.

Does Jeb Bush really want to refight the Iraq War?

Yes, his eagerness to blame Hillary Clinton for the rise of the Islamic State and the spread of terrorism and instability across the Middle East is an opportunity to show his mettle on foreign policy, a top issue for Republican primary voters, and demonstrate toughness toward the expected Democratic nominee.

But his calculation to broaden and expand that argument into a full speech, delivered Tuesday night at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, also exposes the former Florida governor to real political risk by drawing attention to the Iraq War, his brother’s defining legacy and a fraught subject he struggled to reckon with just three months ago.

Bush said the following. “Why was the success of the surge followed by a withdrawal from Iraq, leaving not even the residual force that commanders and the Joint Chiefs knew was necessary? That premature withdrawal was the fatal error, creating the void that ISIS moved in to fill.” As he tried to rewrite history he failed to say it was his brother, George W. Bush, who signed the agreement to withdraw the troops in 2011.

Listen to the actions he said he would take in Iraq. He first seems to say that the actions would be limited. But then he says, “Right now we have around thirty five hundred soldiers and marines in Iraq. And more may well be needed.”

George W Bush lied us into war. It does not bode well that Jeb Bush is using lies that can easily be identified as yet another Bush rides America’s drumbeat to war. American won’t be fooled by a Bush again.
