WDBJ Reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward murdered on air
WDBJ suffered a tremendous loss today. The Huffington Post reports the following.
Two journalists with Roanoke, Virginia-based news station WDBJ were killed Wednesday in a shooting that took place during a live broadcast. Reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27, died shortly after the incident, the station announced. Multiple shots rang out at around 6:45 a.m. during a broadcast from Smith Mountain Lake in the community of Moneta. Authorities are searching for the suspect.

According to The Telegraph,
16.51 Vester L Flanagan, aka Bryce Williams, reportedly carried out the attack, posted video online, and then shot himself after leading police on a car chase.

16.37 We will not be posting the video for obvious reasons. It shows a man walking up to Alison as she conducts an interview, which Adam is filming. The suspect then pauses, produces a gun, and opens fire. Alison does not appear to notice the gunman until the moment he fires the gun.

16.26 Suspect filmed shooting An extremely graphic video has emerged of the suspect carrying out the attack, which he apparently filmed himself before posting online.
16.24 Suspect identified The suspect has been identified as Vester Lee Flanagan, who apparently used the name Bryce Williams while working as an anchor at the station.
15.18 Police have identified the suspect, but he remains on the loose.
