Donald Trump trumped by University report on immigrants. Will media challenge him now? (VIDEO)

Will media stop promoting Donald Trump immigrant bashing

Donald Trump has been on the stump promoting a vile hate using dog whistles as well as outright racist verbiage. He wants Americans to believe that immigrants commit more crime than the average Americans.

As recently as July, the Wall Street Journal had an article titled “The Mythical Connection Between Immigrants and Crime” that debunked Trump. Yet Donald Trump is allowed to continue spewing his hate on TV without most reporters, sans Jorge Ramos of Univision, challenging his lies and hypocrisy. It is not hard to understand why Trump directly and many Republicans indirectly are allowing this farce to go on. I spoke about it here.

This week yet another study was released to debunk the notion that immigrants commit more crimes or do more drugs. The study was conducted by the University of Texas at Austin. Jose Diaz-Balart did a segment on it this morning. A few clips from the segment are in the video above.

The study found the following.

One can only hope that the traditional mainstream media will appropriately challenge Donald Trump for his lies and misinformation on this issue and others. There is clear compounding evidence that he is wrong.

Not informing the American population leads to unnecessary angst and creates wedges on false premises. We should be working on issues that unite us instead of on false issues that divide us. Having those who would be president create chaos is unforgivable.
