Stuart Varney, Fox News bully, met a Democrat that he could not push around
Stuart Varney met his match. Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) appeared on FoxBusiness and put on a clinic. He did not allow Fox News bully, Stuart Varney, to get is his way.
Any progressive appearing on Fox News must understand that the intent is always to score points by ambush. The intent is to frustrate the discussion in order to obfuscate the truth. Fox News is generally a fact free zone. As such, in order to give its audience a semblance of substance and truth, it uses specific debate tactics to neutralize truth.
The purpose of this post is not to debate H.R. 4038, the bill that makes it next to impossible to bring Syrians to America. That bill was passed in the House earlier this week. 47 spineless Democrats voted for it. Instead of standing up for their values and expending the effort to educate the masses as Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) is doing, they took the easy way out.
This post simply highlights the tactics Moulton used to ensure a hostile channel got his message across. His intent is not to convince Stuart Varney. The reality is Stuart Varney has no interest in truth. Stuart’s goal with Fox News is to indoctrinate with false narratives in order to have a certain constituency vote against their own interest.
What Moulton did was use Fox’s airwaves to get his entire message across. He did not allow Varney to get control of the debate.
- Moulton used his military service to force a temporary deference from Varney. Chicken hawks always back off a bit when they fear a decorated soldier may point out they are mostly hot air.
- Moulton expanded on any minute truth emanating from Stuart and provided the proper narrative.
- Moulton ignored every trap question and simply put out the narrative he wanted Stuart’s audience to hear.
- Moulton did not ever get frazzled. In fact his calm demeanor made Stuart a bit more combative than his already combative nature.
It is all about standing one’s ground when one is right and confronted by known demagogues. Rep. Seth Moulton should be emulated by any proegressive Fox News guest going forward
