Rachel Maddow connects the dots on Ted Cruz connections
Rachel Maddow is scrutinizing Ted Cruz’s rather shady connections and endorsements that tell a damaging story about his inner sanctum. Ted Cruz and his ilk should remember that they’ve constantly attempted to judge one by one’s friends and supporters. Who can forget President Obama and his friend Bill Ayers.
It turns out that Rachel Maddow finds that Ted Cruz is palling around indirectly with terrorists. Hyperbole? Not really. The only difference is that we refuse to call domestic terrorism by a certain demographic by its appropriate name.
Ted Cruz is touting an endorsement by Troy Newman.
HOUSTON, Texas – Today, Presidential candidate Ted Cruz secured the endorsement of leading pro-life activist Troy Newman – a driving force in the recent effort to expose Planned Parenthood’s alleged sale of baby parts in a series of undercover videos. Newman is the President of Operation Rescue, one of the most prominent pro-life Christian activist organizations in the nation. He also serves as a Board Member for a number of pro-life groups including the Center for Medical Progress. In addition, Troy is the author of several books, including Refocusing the Pro-Life Movement for Victory and Abortion Free.
“I am grateful to receive the endorsement of Troy Newman,” Cruz said. “He has served as a voice for the unborn for over 25 years, and works tirelessly every day for the pro-life cause. We need leaders like Troy Newman in this country who will stand up for those who do not have a voice.”
Troy Newman is the president of the radical anti-abortion group Operation Rescue. Cheryl Sullenger who went to jail for attempting to blow up an abortion clinic is a senior policy adviser to that group. This is serious. A presidential candidate that would associate with those that exhibit this behavior puts his/her judgement into question.
