Katy Tur took Thomas Roberts’ slur in stride
This was funny as hell. Katy Tur was busy given an excellent report on Donald Trump’s meeting with black ministers. While dismissing the segment Thomas Roberts was getting ready for his segue. He mistakenly called Katy Tur by a name she did not quite appreciate based on her reaction. It was a rather cute exchange.
“Katy Trump, following the, Katy Tur following the Trump campaign,” Roberts erred/corrected. “Excuse me Katy. I apologize. Sorry Katy. I am so sorry. We have been taking everybody’s pulse. You will get me back. I apologize.”
Katy Tur took in stride. “Oh God Thomas,” she said. But her expression is to die for.
This was a simple slip of the tongue. Roberts seemed much more apologetic than he needed to be. Then again, who wants to have that last name Trump in these days when it can be equated with willful ignorance.
