Joy-Ann Reid hits the nail on the head. Shame on us if we vote innapropriately
Joy-Ann Reid continues to be one of the most insightful pundits on cable news. She does not get the kudos she deserve. In fact MSNBC never gave her show, The Reid Report, either the support or the time necessary to develop a serious program. That was afforded to many other shows of lower caliber and with hosts of less intellect.
That is all water under the bridge. They at least gave her the opportunity to plug her book “Fracture: Barack Obama, the Clintons, and the Racial Divide” often enough.
Joy-Ann Reid appeared on All-In with Chris Hayes where she made the most prescient statement.
“And very quickly Chris,” Joy-Ann Reid said. “If you watch every other candidate becoming Donald Trump, you really get a sense of where the party is right now. They are all attempting to be Donald Trump, not distinct from him.” Chris Hayes concurred.
For those who continue to expect Donald Trump to self-destruct, stop waiting. Donald Trump could well be the nominee of the Republican Party. What is scary however is that if the stars continue to line up as they have been over the last few months, Trump could be the next President of the United States.
Yes, we are currently the laughing stock throughout the world. But Trump need not worry, most Americans are so insular, they cannot imagine others would be looking at them with disdain and ridicule for electing charlatans to office.
