Watch Chris Christie knot himself up to not to speak-out against Donald Trump
Straight shooter/straight talker New Jersey Governor Chris Christie tied himself into knots as he cowered when asked about Trump’s vulgarity. Most of America sees Donald Trump as a man who lacks any sort of political acumen. During the debates he has been shallow. During his stump speeches he has been shallow, vulgar, rude, and lacking any presidential bona fides. He has been an effective liar.
The media has been derelict. They have not demanded responses in any serious or repeated manner for his lies and misrepresentations. His political adversaries have been worse. Most of them refuse to condemn Trump’s negative remarks. Instead they let it slide because a segment of the Republican base basks in his dysfunction.
It was Chris Christie’s turn to cower today.
“Last night Donald Trump did something like that,” Jake Tapper said. “He said that what Clinton did during a debate bathroom break was quote, too disgusting to talk about. And then he said she got quote, shlonged by Barack Obama in 2008. Thoughts?”
The generally talkative Christie was subdued.
“None, none,” Christie said. “I am not going to respond to everything that comes out of Donald’s mouth.”
“Is it appropriate for a presidential candidate to use the word shlonged in that way?” Jake Tapper asked.”
“I am not going to respond to everything that comes out of Donald’s mouth,” Chris Christie responded.
Jake Tapper could not contain himself and broke out into a laughter of pity. It was obvious that Chris Christie like most of the politicians running fear speaking out against Donald Trump.
“It may fascinate all of you,” Chris Christie responded. “It is of absolutely no interest to me.”
Politicians will soon have to confront Donald Trump lest they give him the nomination. So far none has had the courage.
