Sarah Palin’s PAC, SarahPAC, exposed as a donor money sink (VIDEO)

January 27, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Sarah Palin’s PAC, SarahPAC does little for the conservative movement

Chris Hayes performed a service for his conservative listeners recently. He highlighted The Daily Beast article titled “Sarah Palin’s PAC Is Up to Its Old Money Tricks,” that exposes Sarah Palin’s PAC, SarahPAC. The article is a must read for anyone contemplating donating to her PAC. This snippet is probative.

For example, around the same time Palin was part of the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special, $4,563 was spent at the swanky Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.

That sort of bill doesn’t pay for itself.

According to Federal Election Commission reports, in the first six months of last year, Sarah PAC—Palin’s organization that purports to be dedicated “to help[ing] elect principled, conservative leaders” spent $16,062 on a private charter in Jackson, Wyoming, $3,855 on a “car and driver” in Long Island City, New York, and a total of $4,364 at La Playa Hotel in Naples, Florida.

So as much as Palin rages against the Washington political machine, the consultant class and all the “elites,” the spending by SarahPAC shows that it remains the same lifestyle-fundin’, consultant-payin’ organization it has been since she launched it in 2009.

SarahPAC Expenditures

The chart says it all. 95.4% of donors money go to pay for travel, consultants, and cronies as noted in the original article. It turns out that as Sarah Palin rails against the ills of the establishment, she has caught the same flu.

One cannot help feeling sorry for those conservative donors of SarahPAC. They are either supporting Sarah Palin’s exuberant lifestyle or candidates that never have their interests at hand. To be clear, this occurs on the Liberal side as well. The difference is one side does make the effort to overtly support middle-class centric policies.

Help out your friends. Share this and suggest that before they drop a dime into any PAC, review their expenditures at http://www.fec.gov/pindex.shtml.
