Bernie Sanders hits Hillary Clinton pretty hard on her progressive departure (VIDEO)

Bernie Sanders even as he contrasts his differences with Hillary Clinton is noble

Recently Hillary Clinton took exception to Bernie Sanders saying that she is only progressive on some days. In the process of complaining she attempted to play the victim card similar to what she did during her run against President Obama.

During CNN’s Democratic Town Hall on Wednesday, she was unable to answer in a coherent manner the reason for the exorbitant speaking fees she took from Wall Street.

Clinton was tested Wednesday night on whether she can explain why she accepted those speaking fees.

Cooper asked: “Did you have to be paid $675,000?”

Clinton began her answer: “I don’t know, that’s what they offered.” She added that her talk on the campaign trail of prosecuting Wall Street’s bad actors has reversed big bankers’ perceptions of her.

“They’re not giving me very much money now, I can tell you that much,” she said. “Fine with me.”

When Bernie Sanders was asked if Hillary Clinton is a progressive he gave a rather detailed answer.

“I do not know any progressive who has a super PAC and takes 15 million dollars from Wall Street,” Bernie Sanders said. “That’s just not progressive. The key foreign policy vote of modern American history was the war in Iraq. The progressive community was pretty united in saying don’t listen to Bush. Don’t go to war. Secretary Clinton voted to go to war.”

Bernie Sanders reminded the audience that Hillary Clinton supported most trade deals and now opposes the Trans Pacific Partnership only now that she is running. Support of those policies is not progressive. Those policies allow corporations to pilfer the middle-class.

Sanders also pointed out that for a long time Hillary Clinton was in favor and talking about the benefits of the Keystone XL pipeline. She has since reversed herself.

That is how you contrast positions without the need to get personal or negative. This is the type of debate America needs.
