Chris Matthews now respects Bernie Sanders in an odd kind of way
Recently while talking to one of Hillary Clinton’s senior campaign advisors, Chris Matthews started to hyperventilate. He wants the campaign to attack Sanders. Matthews wanted Hillary Clinton to some how use Bernie Sanders’ self-identified moniker, socialist democrat, as a weapon against him.
Firstly, Chris Matthews undermines Bernie Sanders’ supporters’ intelligence. Matthews is stuck in the cold war era where the plutocracy could use the term democratic socialist let alone socialist as a weapon to scare. Bernie Sanders’ supporters know he is a democratic socialist and exactly what it means, the support of middle-class centric policies that put humanity above capital.
Many wonder why Chris Matthews is so adamant in his criticisms of Bernie Sanders. Could it have anything to do with his wife running for Congress while supported by the wrong donor base?
After the Bernie Sanders landslide win in New Hampshire along with his powerful victory speech, Chris Matthews was not impressed with Hillary Clinton’s concession speech. He thought reading from a teleprompter was a mistake as well.
Matthews reserved his most forceful praise for Bernie Sanders.
“Hillary was okay, but it’s got to get better,” Matthews said. “And Bernie Sanders, he is a powerhouse. He is not to be stopped till somebody stops him. And I am not sure Hillary Clinton can do it with this speech we saw tonight.”
