Rubio advisor calls out CNN anchor for entertainment style coverage (VIDEO)

February 28, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

CNN anchor placed on the defensive

Marco Rubio advisor Jason Roe made great use of an opening given to him by CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield. He placed her on the defensive as he told her an unfortunate truth about the  mainstream media’s dereliction.

Jason Roe said it was time for Marco Rubio to call out Donald Trump. He said otherwise Donald Trump is going to hijack the Republican Party and the conservative movement. Fredricka Whitfield asked him why now.

“Why was that realization not made moons ago,” Whitfield asked. “Because Donald Trump is the same Donald Trump today that he revealed when he first entered the race.”

Jason replied that it was Rubio’s intention to run a campaign that is about “Marco Rubio’s vision for America.” He said that unfortunately the media had not done their job in scrutinizing candidates. He said the primary was being covered like a horse race or the NFL playoffs.

“Unfortunately the vetting of Donald Trump has just not happened in a meaningful way,” said Jason. And so it became the Rubio’s campaign responsibility to inform Republican and Conservative voters who the con man is that is trying to steal the nomination.”

And what did CNN do immediately after that statement? They played a clip of Rubio insulting Donald Trump. Following the clip Fredricka accused Rubio of not elaborating on his own plans or Donald Trumps lack thereof. Jason’s response was perfect.

“I think that the clip that you use there is one in which Marco is just having fun at a rally at Donald’s expense,” Jason said. “But the reality is that if Marco at that point was giving a speech about his tax plan, You would not be showing a clip of him.”

And that is the nature of the media today. The frivolities get covered and substance is generally ignored.
