Donald Trump really would be Thug in Chief
The picture many American and the rest of the world sees is a Thug in Chief making a plausible run for the presidency of the United States of America. Roland Martin accurately states that reality when discussing the reason Donald Trump never condemns these actions overtly.
“He is not going to condemn it because it his brand not to backtrack,” said Roland Martin. “I mean this is a desire to be Thug in Chief. And so he is not going to criticize them. When he attacked Senator John McCain, when he attacked Carly Fiorina, when he attacks anyone, in his mind ‘If I say I am sorry and backtrack and tell people to tamper down then I am hurt by it.’ So he has done this throughout the entire campaign. We shouldn’t be shocked.”
A party gets the candidate it deserves. The elected party representative is but a representative of the majority position of said party. We can only hope that in the general election America shows the world that Donald Trump and his ilk’s view is not representative of America at large. We will see if the America that elected President Obama twice lives up to its progress.
