Salma Hayek points out that it isn’t Donald Trump that should concern us
Salma Hayek appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show recently where she was asked about Donald Trump. Her response was epic and is the question we should ask.
Jimmy Kimmel asked Salma Hayek if she ever met Donald Trump. Salma responded that she had known him for a long time. Kimmel asked if she gets personally offended by Trumps statements. Hayek’s response was excellent.
“I haven’t seen him since he started this part of his entertainment career,” Hayek said.
Kimmel then told her he thinks she is the only one that could get through to Trump.
“If you speak, he is going to listen,” Kimmel said.
“I don’t think he listens to me,” Hayek replied. “No. You don’t need to talk sense into him. Everybody is entitled to their own madness. You have to talk sense into the people who are not seeing the madness.”
And that is the real issue. Donald Trump is simply adapting to a sect in America who wants to hear what he is saying. Trump is not leading. He is the conduit used by a group of confused and ill-informed Americans who uses Trump as their megaphone. The things is, if he gets power they will be quickly forgotten and betrayed.
