CNN earned its Clinton News Network ‘bona fides’ with this biased interview (VIDEO)

April 5, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Is CNN objective or the Clinton News Network

Many on the Right refer to CNN as the Clinton News Network. CNN is being true to form but only as it pertains to the Democratic Primaries.

The CNN host played a clip of Hillary Clinton saying she felt sorry for young people who believe the information about her fossil fuel ties etc. She also stated they do not do their research.

The Host then asked Hillary Clinton supporter Neera Tanden, President of the Center for American Progress if the statement will hurt Hillary Clinton. Tanden said it would not then went on to defend Hillary Clinton against the fossil fuel donor allegations.

Bill Press, Host of “The Bill Press Show” and author of “Buyer’s Remorse: How Obama Let Progressives Down” admonish Clinton for her condescension. He then pointed out the Huffington Post article “Hillary Clinton’s Biggest Campaign Bundlers Are Fossil Fuel Lobbyists” and Center For Responsive Politics who had the hard numbers.

Ironically the CNN Host jumped in to defend Hillary Clinton against the information provided by Bill Press. She attempted to ‘qualify’ the reports with a Hillary Clinton spin. She was even more forceful than Neera Tanden, Hillary Clinton’s supporter.

If the CNN Host was legitimately correcting a misrepresentation of the data objectively, that would be responsible journalism. Unfortunately, she was there defending Hillary Clinton even as Bill Press was objecting because he had valid data.

It is sad that organizations like CNN did not do this during the stimulus debate, the healthcare debate, or during all the other debates when politicians come on to the program and lie their tongues out. Had that been done then, Americans would not be as misled as they are now. Selective journalism or faux journalism as we had in the clip above is a detriment to our democracy.
