Donald Trump’s ‘My African American’ speaks out (VIDEO)

June 5, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

The man Donald Trump referred to as ‘My African American’ appeared on MSNBC with Chris Matthews.

Donald Trump’s ‘African American’ infected like most Right Wingers

The black man Donald Trump referred to as his ‘African American’ appeared on MSNBC seemingly overwhelmed by the media coverage. While appearing at a rally on the tarmac in Redding, California Donald Trump bizarrely said the following.

We had a case where we had an African American guy who was a fan of mine. Great fan. Great guy. In fact, I want to find out what’s going on with him. You know what? … Look at my African American over here. Look at him. Are you the greatest? You know what I am talking about?” [Watch video here]

It turns out the black guy is Gregory Cheadle, a Republican candidate for the 1st Congressional District in California. In a previous interview, Cheadle seemed to welcome Trumps bizarre acknowledgement.

Cheadle, a Republican from Happy Valley in the running for the 1st Congressional District, said he was beaming.

“That was me seriously. I got two autographs out of that,” he said.

Cheadle said African-Americans have historically been dismissed by politicians, which is why they were so quick to support President Obama, the country’s first black president.

So it was gratifying to him and he was proud that someone like Trump would acknowledge him in an audience that was 99.99 percent white, he said.

“To give the black folk the time of the day, I was happy,” Cheadle said.

He must have gotten some blowback because, in the interview with Chris Matthews, he seemed to backpedal a bit.

“I don’t know if I am living in a dream or a nightmare,” Cheadle told Matthews. “This thing is as blown up to be — It’s taken on a life of its own.”

He said he took no offense to what Donald Trump said but said he was not a Trump supporter. When asked if Trump’s words did not indicate possession, he said it was ultimately ambiguous.

When asked about Trump and the birther issue, Cheadle first deflected. He tried to make it a ‘Trump manipulating the press’ issue. When Matthews asked about his personal belief about the birther issue, Cheadle flubbed like most Right Wing Republicans. In other words, Cheadle is backpedaling because he likely got some heat but still suffers the derangement syndrome. He is unable to articulate directly that the President is American born irrespective of what many in his party believe.
