It turns out that just like Trump ripped off folks with his many ventures, so he is doing with the speech his wife gave at the Republican National Convention. Is anyone surprised?
Shaun King presented the video above in his Facebook feed. He wrote the following.
Here it is. Melania Trump stealing her speech tonight from Michelle Obama’s speech at the DNC convention 8 years ago. What’s wild is that this came on the same night where Republican Congressman Steve King said he couldn’t think of any great parts of civilization created by people of color. Here we have a white woman stealing something great from a Black woman. Just wild. You can’t make this stuff up.
The Huffington Post reported the plagiarism as follows.
“From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect,” Trump told the thousands of Republican delegates and assembled media on Monday night in Cleveland.
In 2008, Mrs. Obama said, “You work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them.”
Trump’s spouse also lifted a line about children from Michelle Obama, saying, “We want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”
In 2008, Michelle Obama said, “We want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”
The Huffington Post article ended with an interesting but truthful editors note that is rather shocking.

With all his millions, Donald Trump is unable to come up with a good original content speech writer? The man must be a troglodyte if he is unable to understand that you simply cannot get away with plagiarism anymore.
