Joy-Ann Reid did not allow the Right Wing filibuster
Joy-Ann Reid attempted to interview a filibustering Former Congressman Jack Kingston. She shut down his attempt to promote the GOP narrative.
The interview started with the usual pleasantries. But Reid went directly to the substance. She acknowledged that Donald Trump gave some apology.
Reid wanted to know if that regret applied to his birther attacks on President Obama. Kingston flipped the question. He asked if Democrats regretted questioning the citizenship of Trump’s wife. Reid pointed out the fact that Democrats never did that. Joy-Ann Reid was forced to shut Kingston down as he continued filibustering the point.
“Sir, that’s an excellent tactic,” Reid said. “I have to tell you, I use to do campaign communications, so I know shifting the subject to something else is a great tactic. But you didn’t answer my question.” Kingston refused to say that Trump’s birtherism was wrong. In fact, he declined to say whether the president of the United States was a citizen.
Reid continued to shut down Jack Kingston’s filibuster over and over again as she provided the answers to the questions he refused to answer. It was evident Kingston was frustrated.
Other hosts should begin following Reid’s lead. The Right Wing has been very efficient in using all airwaves to get their narratives out. They ignore questions as they use, at no charge, the American airwaves to lie to and mislead the American citizenry.
