My daughter respectfully schools baby boom caller about millennials on news & politics on my Politics Done Right radio show (VIDEO)

September 9, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

My daughter took a break from writing secondaries at the coffee shop to sit in on my Politics Done Right (on Facebook) radio show. She felt compelled to address a baby boomer who called in.

My daughter enlightens a baby boomer about millennials

A listener called my Politics Done Right radio show and scolded us for missing the real political issues. My daughter spoke up for millennials.

Gary, a frequent caller, and a regular listener said we were missing the forest for the trees. He believes that the urgency of too many problems remains undiscussed.

“The problem with you and Hillary and Donald is that you are all tree people,” Gary said. “And you are not seeing the issues that are going on here with the overpopulation, climate change, the destruction of the world, the collapse of the economy, the collapse of the food supply, the collapse of the water supply, all the migration issues, not just Europe but here in the United States and everywhere else. This is all caused by dramatic, major changes in the world that nobody ever mentions.”

Gary implied we are wasting our time deciding if we want to paint the barn red or blue when the entire barn is burning down. I reminded Gary that he is a frequent caller to my show and others and gets on air to give his awareness wider scope and coverage.

My daughter, Ashley chimed in

“I am of the younger generation,” Ashley Willies said. “I am in my mid-twenties. And a lot of the topics that you are mentioning, people in my age group bring up. Because honestly, we don’t watch MSNBC and CNN and Fox News. That’s usually for a different generation. So a lot of my news — to be quite honest — comes from Facebook. And that is why it was so refreshing when Bernie was there to highlight the topics that were talked about. So, just to give you a little more faith in us, we agree with the topics that you are talking about. We are very much about the environment and all the different things that aren’t being discussed. But they are just on different platforms. They are not on the platforms we are speaking of today.”

Gary acknowledged that yes, we are aware of and address the problems. He asked why aren’t our leaders doing the same. I closed segment reminding him that it is our job to make sure our leaders are working for us.

So far our leaders are riding on a free pass we gave them. It is now the time that we force them to live up to our expectations.
