President Obama’s Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Dinner speech’s first few paragraphs ridiculed Donald Trump in the most classy of ways.

Obama has fun at Trumps expense at Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Dinner

Watch the full speech here.

President Obama used the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Dinner to make fun of Donald Trump as he ridiculed his last birther stunt. He said the following at the beginning of his speech.

“There is an extra spring in my step tonight,” President Obama said. “I don’t know ’bout you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole birther thing is over. I mean, ISIL, North Korea, Poverty, Climate Change, none of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate. And to think, that with just one hundred and twenty-four days to go, under the wire we got that resolved. That’s a boost for me in the home stretch. In other breaking news, the world is round not flat. This is, of course, my last CBC dinner as President. Next time I show up, I have to buy a ticket. Don’t get me wrong we still got so much work to do. And we are springing all the way through the tape. But the days are winding down. I noticed that whenever Michelle and I travel around the country, folks come up and say ‘Oh, we are so sad to see you go.’ And I really appreciate that. And Michelle says, ‘That’s right.’  She gave a speech yesterday where a bunch of young people was chanting four more years. And she said, ‘Nope. Nope. Nope.’ She is ready. But we do want to take this opportunity just to say thank you.”

It is so sad that we spent so much time on the birther issue given that it was never an issue. President Obama’s mother is an American, and it did not matter where he was born anyway.
