Chuck Todd finally called out to his face, Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s attack dog and a member of Trump’s team of misogynists.
Chuck Todd calls out Rudy Giuliani to his face
Chuck Todd finally called out Rudy Giuliani for being the wrong messenger highlighting Bill Clinton’s infidelities given Giuliani’s past infidelities. Giuliani was on the show attempting to defend Donald Trump’s near one billion dollar business loss that likely allowed him to pay zero in taxes for nearly two decades.
“What did you mean when you talked about Monica Lewinsky and Hillary Clinton,” asked Chuck Todd. “That if she did not know what Bill Clinton was doing, she is too stupid to be president?”
Giuliani responded that given President Clinton’s past with Gennifer Flowers, Juanita Broderick, and others making claims against Clinton, to pretend Monica Lewinsky’s allegations were false was wrong.
Chuck ask if Hillary was wrong for standing by her husband. Rudy said that she was wrong for attacking the victim.
To be clear, Hillary Clinton responded like any hurt spouse would. Giuliani’s responses opened the door. Then again, the door was opened many times before.
“Are you the right person to level this charge?” Todd asked. “Your past, you have your own infidelities, sir.”
“Everybody does,” Rudy responded. “I am a Roman Catholic and I confess those things to my priest.”
Giuliani then claimed he never attacked someone that was a victim of sexual abuse.
“And I think you bringing up my personal life really is kind of irrelevant to what Hillary Clinton did,” Rudy said. “She is running for president. I am not.”
While that is true, as a bona fide misogynist, Rudy’s credibility is definitely on the line. Chuck Todd and all the other hosts with shows have a responsibility to probe the character and past utterances of all the mouthpieces for the campaigns.
