Chuck Todd on Trump misogynist video – I think this in unrecoverable (VIDEO)

October 8, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Chuck Todd hit the nail on the head giving the reasons why this particular tape is pivotal in Donald Trump’s demise.

Chuck Todd all but calls the presidential election

Chuck Todd appeared on MSNBC Live and just about called the presidential race as he said that he believes the race is unrecoverable. The host agreed. Todd said the only issue now is whether Trump will light himself on fire in the process of his demise.

“If he does choose to do what he did in the video early this morning that he released,” Chuck Todd said. “Which is apologize for the words but not apologize for bragging for essentially being able to assault a woman without their consent. And then he sits here and thinks attacking a candidate for the infidelities of her husband is somehow going to equalize this; I think again this is unrecoverable even if he is nothing but contrite tomorrow night. But if he goes down that road I don’t know if there will be many elected Republicans left that will feel that they can continue to endorse him.”

The personal stories from Todd and the host Alex Witt are what likely what make this time so unrecoverable.

“When I first read this transcript in a car on my way to a  baseball game with my two kids and my spouse,” Todd said. “I could not talk about why I was gasping. And why I could not speak about the presidential race anymore in front of my kids. When you hit a moment like that, that’s when you realize it felt different.”

Alex Witt said that is exactly how she felt.

“He has lost any hope of having any moral authority to lead,” Todd added. “This is on a level we haven’t seen before.”

Todd finished the segment with an impressive statement.

“It wouldn’t surprise me today if somebody convinces Trump not to show up to tomorrow night’s debate,” Todd said. “If I were him I might not.”
