Martin O’Malley called out Donald Trump as a fascist after debate (VIDEO)

Many politicians avoid calling Donald Trump exactly what he is, a fascist, for fear of blowback. Kudos to Martin O’Malley who was not afraid to do so.

Martin O’Malley boldly calls Donald Trump a fascist

Martin O’Malley did something that many politicians and talking heads are not doing. He pointed out that Trump’s tendencies make him a fascist.

“Thank you, Craig,” O’Malley said. “And thanks for highlighting that sort of tin horn dictator stuff about jailing your opponent. My god, what kind of country are we coming to, a lot of the talking heads missed that last night. I thought that was outrageous. If you ever doubted that this guy is a fascist? He made it clear with that comment.”

“Alright, Governor O’Malley. Thank you for not lumping me in I think with the rest of the talking heads,” host Craig Melvin said. “I think that was a compliment.”

O’Malley said it was.

Had Republican primary presidential candidates called out Donald Trump in the manner he gets called out now, Trump would never have won the Republican Primary. None of those candidates wanted to go out on a limb. That is how some keep power. They prey on the fears of the many to step out on a limb. This modus operandi applies as well to the poor and middle-class fear of forcing the hand of the plutocracy, the fear to demand their piece of the American pie.

It is time for folks to be bold and step out. Demand a single-payer Medicare-for-all health care system. Demand a free pay-it-forward education from K through college. Demand corporations exploiting the country’s natural resources share most of the profits to the owners of the resources, every American citizen. Demand corporations pay the price for moving their businesses overseas. After all, it is American taxes that make it safe for them to do business overseas.
