Clinton surrogate gave Chuck Todd a tongue-lashing over Russian hacking coverage (VIDEO)

December 9, 2016 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

Clinton surrogate Anita Dunn in her very calm manner admonished Chuck Todd for the news media’s neglect in covering the Russian hacking of the DNC and more.

Anita Dunn told Chuck Todd the inconvenient truth he needed to hear

Hillary Clinton’s surrogate Anita Dunn scolded Todd and the mainstream media for neglecting the Russian hacking story way back in June. Chuck Todd has a hard time getting out the question. He eventually asked if it would be hard to punish Putin if the investigation into the Russian involvement in our election seemed partisan.

“You know Chuck,” Anita Dunn said. “I think it was frustrating for Democrats starting in July when it became clear what had happened. When everyone who looked at the issue said yes the Democratic National Committee was not only infiltrated but it was infiltrated by Russia associated groups. And that it was basically a non-story. And then, of course, the Clinton campaign with John Podesta. And I think we all felt like you know if somebody had caught these people breaking into the offices and stealing these documents, it is a huge story right? And wouldn’t NBC news be reporting Russian spies breaking into the DNC, breaking into John Podesta’s home to steal his personal files? Right? It’s a huge story. And instead it was like ‘Wow did Doug Band really write that about Chelsea Clinton?’ kind of story.”

Chuck Todd then got defensive.

“Nobody was sure,” Chuck pleaded. “Right? There was this vagueness.”

Anita lashed back.

“What did you need?” Anita asked exasperatedly. “What did you need. You had a lot of people in the intelligence community saying ‘Yes, this is what happened.’

Chuck in an attempt to defend the news media dereliction continued.

“That was all reported on,” Todd said. “But I think that the fact that it didn’t gain critical mass with the public. It was just enough vagary.”

Anita Dunn did not let Todd off the hook.

“Well because the public was really getting the sort of salacious daily email from the very selective WikiLeaks dumps that the groups that had stolen these papers made, to begin with,” Dunn said. “And of course Democrats are frustrated.”

This poor journalism is the media dereliction we continuously speak about ad nauseam. Instead of reporting and investigating, the mainstream news media reports frivolities and salacious tidbits that have no value to the American citizens. Real journalists like Newsweek Kurt Eichenwald and The Washington Post David Fahrenthold who are attempting to do their jobs get marginalized.

Right after this sub-segment, Chuck Todd had the most disturbing statement where he alluded to Russia’s hack being an act of war. Journalism in this country is concerning.
