Remember when Republicans used to accuse anyone with any association with Russia of being a communist? Now they do not mind supporting a tyrant as long as he is helping them stay in power.
This lawmaker has no problem with Russia maligning our election
Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ) appeared on MSNBC and made a shocking assessment of Russian involvement in our 2016 election. Worse, as the excerpted video shows, he is condoning future exploitation of our election to fulfill Russia’s needs. Does he even understand that his partisanship over country borders on treason?
“The Truth is, and I think that your own station sources would admit, most of what we are talking about now are based on leaks,” Congressman Trent Franks said. “And I am all for doing what is necessary to protect the election here. But there is no suggestion that Russia hacked into our voting systems or anything like that. They if anything, whatever they might have done was to try to use information in a way that may have affected something that they believe was in their best interest. But the bottom line if they succeeded if Russia succeeded in giving the American people information that was accurate then they merely did what the media should have done.”
Congressman Trent Franks should be ashamed of himself. He should take a page out of the book of this generally unstable TEA Party Republican.
