Verbal fight breaks out between Senators Pat Roberts, Ron Wyden, & Sherrod Brown in hearings (VIDEO)

January 19, 2017 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

It is getting very testy in many of the hearings. This is an explosion seldom seen in hearings between senators.

Senator Pat Roberts disrespected Senators Ron Wyden & Sherrod Brown

Senator Pat Roberts suggested that Senator Ron Wyden takes a Valium pill, a very disrespectful statement for one senator to make to other senators.

“Senator Wyden, I’ve got a Valium pill here that you might want to take before the second round,” Senator Roberts said. “Just a suggestion sir.”

“Just another suggestion,” Senator Wyden replied. “We’ve got a lot of colleagues waiting so if you could be brief. …”

“I hope that that comment about Valium doesn’t set the tone for 2017 in this committee,” Senator Sherrod Brown said. “I just, I like Senator Roberts. I just can’t quite believe that he would say that to a distinguished senator from Oregon.”

“I’ve said that to the President of the United States at one time,” Roberts said.

“Perhaps you did,” Sherrod Brown said. “And I would hope that doesn’t set the tone for this session.”

Several senators began shouting as the chairman attempted to get the committee back to order. Finally, Roberts gave a kind of apology.

“I am sorry if I have incurred your wrath, sir,” Roberts said. “So we will be alright.”

Ron Wyden continued to complain as Roberts kept on talking. Roberts once again blew up.

“Find Ron,” he said. “I am done.”

The lack of civility from the Right side of the aisle continues. It is refreshing to watch as progressives push back forcefully without losing their dignity by falling to the depths that Trump’s made vogue.
