We need to make sure every progressive person and progressive politicians see this reality. The vast majority of the people have gotten the wake-up call and are with the progressive women protests to keep our values.
Progressive protests more popular than TEA Party
It turns out that the women’s marches, an organized group of protests, are supported by more Americans than the TEA Party was at its highest support level. Rachel Maddow’s did a short segment where she pointed out some facts that should give a spine to Democratic and Progressive politicians alike.
Rachel pointed out that roughly the same amount of Americans were aware of both movements. 54% of Americans were aware of the TEA Party movement. 57% of Americans were aware of the Women’s Marches.
What is astounding is that while 39% of Americans supported the TEA Party at its apex, 60% currently support the progressive protests occurring throughout the country.
This is very good news. This movement is peaceful and huge. Americans understand that we are at a flex point in our society. We could flex in any direction. Judging from the crowds and the polling, our better angels may be re-engaging.
