Bill Maher on why Trump deserves no break: ‘I am not the crazy one here’ (VIDEO)

February 10, 2017 By Egberto Willies

A Trump supporter asked Bill Maher and others to give Trump some time to get the job done. Bill Maher’s answer did not disappoint.

Bill Maher laid it out as only he can

Bill Maher answer could not be more concise as he described to a Trump supporter why Trump’s treatment by the opposition is justified. Maher appeared on CNN’s The Messy Truth with Van Jones.

A Trump supporter at the forum said that the President was in office only three weeks. “Why can’t you guys in the media and Hollywood give him some slack,” the Trump supporter asked.  “Let him do his job.”

The question irritated Bill.

“Because of what he has done,” Bill Maher snapped back. “And said.”

The Trump supporter snapped back, “He’s only had three weeks.”

“Three weeks,” Bill shouted. ”

“Can’t you give him a break?”, the Trump supporter pleaded.

“Give him a break?” Bill responded. “Do you read?”

“Let him do the job,” the Trump supporter replied. “Which is the toughest job on earth.”

That was enough for Bill to enumerate Trump’s sins in Maher style.

“The toughest job on earth has never been done like this,” Maher replied in desperation. “First of all, this is beyond the realm of politics. If you are just talking about politics — okay, let’s pretend that it is just politics. I would have big problems there because it is a giant con what he has done. He ran for the little man. And then what does he do. He gets into office. The coal companies can dump sludge into the river. Because you know, that is what the little man was aching for. Undoing Dodd-Frank, because so many of the town halls in Appalachia, people were standing up and saying, ‘Mr. Trump, please get rid of the Volcker Rule because if I can’t make certain speculative investments, it’s killing us here.’ So that’s just the political part. We could have a normal conversation about that. But this presidency is not about the political part even three weeks in. It’s beyond politics. It’s about sanity. It’s about somebody who makes stuff up, who doesn’t read. His information is either anecdotal or pulled right out of his behind. You know, of course, we are worried when the president sees multitudes that don’t exist, as in the illegal people of the illegal voting three million. That should bother you, sir. I am not the crazy one here.

Yes, it should bother us all. And that is why it is important that there must be constant, steady, and organized opposition to the completely Republican-led government that is giving an unqualified president complete control.
