Robert Reich explains the real reason Republicans want to kill Obamacare (VIDEO)

Obamacare

There is nothing positive that will come out of repealing Obamacare for the poor or the middle-class. But Robert Reich explains the abject disregard for humanity Republicans are willing to impose for more than just an ideology but greed.

Robert Reich explains why GOP wants to repeal Obamacare

Robert Reich hits the nail on the head. The reason for Obamacare repeal has nothing to do with health care, and many are starting to understand that now.

I recently wrote an article titled “Message to Trump supporters on Obamacare: You get sick too” explaining Obamacare. It explains why the narrative that most people believe is completely wrong.

Please do not buy into the fallacy that Obamacare was a government takeover of health care. Not because your anti-Obamacare politician says it, means it is true. You interact with your healthcare system through your doctor, your hospital, and your drug store.

Your doctor works for herself or himself, or for a private corporation. Your hospital is a private corporation. Your drug store is a private corporation. The drug companies that supply the drugs to the drug store are private corporations. The companies that supply the tools to the hospitals are private corporations. The supplies used in the doctor’s offices are private corporations. The insurance companies that pay the bills are private corporations. It cannot be a government takeover if the system is run almost entirely by the private sector via private corporations and private doctors.

Robert Reich now points out the real reason why the Republicans want to repeal Obamacare.

So why do Republicans want to repeal Obamacare and leave millions without insurance?  Because it would mean a huge tax windfall for the wealthy.

Repealing Obamacare will put an average of $33,000 of tax cuts in the hands of the richest 1 percent this year alone, and a whopping $197,000 of tax cuts into the hands of the top 0.1 percent.

The 400 highest-income taxpayers (with incomes averaging more than $300 million each) will each receive an average annual tax cut of about $7 million.

It would also increase the taxes of families earning between $10,000 and $75,000 – including just about all of Trump’s working class voters.

And he points out the results if it is repealed.

– 32 million people losing their health insurance,

– tens of thousands of Americans dying because they don’t get the medical care they need,

– Medicare in worse shape,

– And the rich becoming far richer.

We need to point this out to our neighbors, friends, family, etc. It does not matter if they are Republican, Democrats, Independents, or Trump supporters. We all get sick and want what is best for our families and friends.
