President Trump’s press conference was a litany of lies and self-delusion. NBC’s reporter Peter Alexander called him out on a big lie he has been spewing for some time in real time.

Trump, the liar in chief, called out

The Donald showed an inability to be embarrassed as a reporter Peter Alexander called him out for a lie he tells over and over again.

“Mr. President, very simple,” Peter Alexander said. “You said today that you have biggest electoral margins since Ronald Reagan with 304, 306 electoral votes. In fact, President Obama got 365 in 2008, President Obama 333, George HW Bush 426 when he won as president. So why should America trust … ”

The President interrupted.

“I was given that information,” Trump said. “I don’t know. I was just given very very large margin.”

I guess my question is,” Pete Alexander said ” Why should America trust you when you accuse the information they receive as being fake when you provide information that is false.

“Actually, I’ve seen that information around,” Trump said. “But it was a very substantial victory. Do you agree with that?

“You are are the president,” Alexander said. ”

Trump’s ability to lie with impunity is dangerous. It means his utterances mean absolutely nothing. That does not bode well for any of our international relationships.
