MSNBC Craig Melvin hit back hard when Trump supporter tried to lie (VIDEO)

February 21, 2017 By Egberto Willies

My hope about a resurgent mainstream media is not there yet. But watching MSNBC confront the Trump sanctioned TV liars is becoming a welcoming sport that will pay dividends.

Craig Melvin did not let a liar go unchallenged

Craig Melvin did not allow Donald Trump’s diversity misinformer-in-chief, Bruce Levell, to lie about his boss’ failure to call outgrowing rampant anti-Semitism. Melvin played a clip where Donald Trump claimed that he calls out anti-Semitism and racism all of the time.

“We were trying to figure out after he said that,” Melvin said. “We did not have a lot of time to get into it there. Can you name the other times that the President has denounced anti-Semitism?”

Bruce Levell first thanked Melvin for having him on the show. He then deflected by stating that many of the President’s family members are Jewish. He then said that the critique is hurtful to the President.

Note the deflection. The question had nothing to do with whether the President is racist or not. We know he has Jewish family members. The question is about him calling out his supporters who are anti-Semitic or who are racist.

Bruce Levell soon exploded after Melvin called him on Trump’s failure to call out his anti-Semitic brethren until today. Reporters are learning how to fight against the deflections and smoke and mirrors. Good job Mr. Melvin.
