Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee tells us how to fight Trumpcare on Politics Done Right appearance (VIDEO)

March 24, 2017 By Egberto Willies

We reached Sheila Jackson Lee while other outlets interviewed her in Washington DC alongside the CBC. Her assistant timed it well for us to get the interview just before she got called.

Rep Sheila Jackson Lee speaks to Politics Done Right

I introduced Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee as one of the hardest working Congresswomen in Washington. She said she was with members of the Congressional Black Caucus giving interviews.

I told the Congresswoman that I attended most of her Save Obamacare rallies. I then asked what precisely was happening. She pointed out that the bill in its current form was Trumcare Dumpcare.

Jackson Lee said that Congresspersons are being held hostage in Congress by their leadership. She said the bill has stalled out. She then enumerated all the things the bill cut.

I asked the Congresswoman for advice for her constituents. She said they should continue calling their representatives irrespective of the result of the Trumpcare vote. She wants her constituents and every part of the country to do several things; call both the White House and their representatives in both houses of Congress.

“I want the constituents to keep stressing that this bill is a Trumpcare Dumpcare Nocare bill,” Jackson-Lee said. “Fight gainst it. Refuse to support it. Help us make the Affordable Care Act better.”
