If anyone doubts that Donald Trump is a laughing stock around the world, one must listen to the Australian Prime Minister making fun of him to a very receptive audience. Trump definitely won’t like this, and we can expect a tweet shortly.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull makes fun of our child president
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is not likely too upset that his Trump parody leaked. After all, Trump was none too respectful to him initially.
During the US President’s call with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on Saturday, Trump objected to an agreement over the US receiving refugees, sources told CNN. All this a day after a call with Mexico’s President, where a transcript showed Trump complaining about Mexico’s “handling” of “tough hombres.”
Australia is an ally of the United States, with the two countries joining three other English-speaking countries in an intelligence sharing arrangement known as the “Five Eyes.” …
The disagreement came as the two leaders discussed a deal, reached under the Obama administration, for the US to accept refugees from Australia who are living on islands in detention centers off the mainland due to strict government policies. …
Trump abruptly ended the call because he was unhappy, a source told CNN. White House press Wednesday night, Trump tweeted, “Do you believe it? The Obama administration agreed to take thousands of illegal immigrants from Australia. Why? I will study this dumb deal!”
The Australian Prime Minister got a good poke into Donald Trump.
“The Donald and I, we are winning and winning in the polls,” Prime Minister Turnbull said. We are winning so much. We are winning like we have never won before. We are winning in the polls. We are. We are. Not the fake polls. Not the fake polls. They’re the ones we’re not winning in. We’re winning in the real polls. You know, the online polls. They are so easy to win. I know that, did you know that? I kinda know that. I know that. They are so easy to win. I have this Russian guy… Believe me, it’s true. It is true.”
Malcolm Turnbull expected the event to be off the record but it leaked. He would appear on the radio to try to soften the blow to our child president. You don’t want Trump to get a tantrum especially having control of those nuclear codes. He may just nuke Australia off the map.
“The butt of my jokes was myself,” Turnbull told an Australian Radio Host.
“And of Trump,” The radio host interjected.
“Oh, I wouldn’t, well I wouldn’t say that,” Turnbull said. “I think it was more a, it was a, it was more good-natured than that I think.”
