An interview with DailyKos writer Kelly Macias
Dr. Macias said she attended Netroots Nation 2017 to connect with her Progressive colleagues from around the country. She said it also gave her the opportunity to connect with contributors and members of the DailyKos community. Dr. Macias stated that DailyKos is important to the Progressive Movement because it is about news and action where people are not just writing but activating.
Though she writes on several topics, Dr. Macias includes race and gender in her pieces. She said pushback is never far given that our Progressive family is not a monolith. Some sects need to be coaxed on subjects that are not readily discussed.
Dr. Macias presents a new and necessary voice to the DailyKos community
