Ted Cruz gave an interview where he attempted to explain why his account liked a video from a porn Twitter account. The reality is, were it not Cruz, the moral police, or someone of his ilk, no one would care.
Ted Cruz took virtually no responsibility for his Twitter account porn mishap, but he gave the expected answer one would expect from a Right Wing politician of his caliber.
I thought twice before writing anything about this story. I’m exposing it, however, because of the hypocrisy politicians like Ted Cruz and his gang, expound. Even if it is true that he didn’t like the video, someone with access to his account likes porn. Here is what happened according to Time.
Ted Cruz’s official Twitter account appeared to “like” an explicit tweet Monday night, causing a stir on social media.
The Texas senator’s account, which has more than 3 million followers, liked a tweet from the account @SexuallPosts, which posts explicit content and porn. The “like” was later removed from the senator’s account, Cruz’s senior communications adviser Catherine Frazier said.

Ted Cruz subsequently gave the following interview. He denied that he liked the tweet and put the blame on a staffer.
The reality is assuming that Cruz’s staffer is young, a millennial, GenYer, or GenXer, they would likely know that liking a tweet would add it to your Twitter feed. It is a mistake that is unlikely on either a personal account or the bosses account by a staffer. Yes, it can happen. But in my humble opinion, staffers for a Senator like Ted Cruz who acts like a moral police would avoid that mistake at all cost.
Ted Cruz dodged the question about firing the staffer. He said he is handling it internally.
Twitter is not buying it.
