Stephen Cloobeck, a wealthy Democratic donor, appeared on MSNBC with Stephanie Ruhle and had some good things to say about the Democratic Party. But he also had a threat that will rub many Progressives the wrong way.
Stephen Cloobeck in no uncertain terms warned the Democratic Party that they need a new message and calling out billionaires won’t be tolerated.

Cloobeck first discussed the recent Texas Massacre. He said enough is enough maybe alluding to gun control?
Ruhle asked Cloobeck about his thoughts on the tax cut scam. He said the bill was misguided in that it dropped the sales and property tax deductions and called it a big corporate tax bungle. He wants the law to go after net operating loss carryforwards
Cloobeck then came back with a Progressive value. Help kids with there student loans. He agreed that most of the tax cuts go to corporations.
When Stephanie Ruhle brought up the issue of Democrats holding Democrats accountable, Cloobeck would have none of it. He said he told the big wheels in the Democratic Party to stop it or else his funding of the Democratic Party will dry up. He also said many others would follow with drying up rich donor dollars to the Democratic Party.
The entire interview is fascinating. It illustrates that wealthy Democratic Party supporters will only go so far in their support of middle-class-centric Progressive policies.
