Chris Matthews tears into Donald Trump’s inability to discern reality (VIDEO)

November 29, 2017 By Egberto Willies

Chris Matthews went there. He openly questions Donald Trump’s inability to discern reality. Matthews does so in a macabre tone. After all, the man is inciting a nuclear war.

Chris Matthews questions Trump’s sanity

“Trump watch Wednesday, November 29th, 2017. The great New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan once famously decreed that we are entitled to our own opinions, not to our own facts,” Chris Matthews said. “It was one thing for the President to argue that his inaugural crowds were larger than anyone else’s. That was simply odd, something to do with his male ego like his bizarre fixation on the size of his hands. But it’s when the president turns, to easily known facts versus easily dismissed claims that we have to worry about his ability to discern reality, you know, the kind of reality he needs to grasp when dealing with North Korea and it’s ballistic missiles.”

Matthews then go into some of the president’s bizarre fights with reality.

“So here we go,” Matthew said. “What do we make of a person, forget he’s president for the moment, who denies it is he there in that camera being recorded? What does it mean when Trump denies the undeniable? That it’s him on an Access Hollywood tape? The one for which Billy Bush the other person there was fired. Do we take him as a liar, a lunatic as Kim Jung-un called him or simply a guy with a character problem? What do we discern in Trump when we hear he’s out there again pushing the charge that President Obama was born in Kenya and therefore ineligible to be President? Why would he keep doing that? And what about claiming that Ted Cruz’s father was in cahoots with Lee Harvey Oswald or that enough of Hillary’s vote were people in the country illegally that he Donald Trump actually did win the popular vote?

And then Matthews questions the president’s sanity.

“Again what is going on in Trump’s head when he says this stuff?” Matthews asked. “Is it a printout of his thinking process? Is it evidence of his inability to discern reality from what he’d like reality to be? And if so, we are in deep trouble. We are facing a nuclear threat from North Korea with a commander-in-chief measurably incapable of deciphering reality.”

In other words, the time for the 25th Amendment may be closer than we think.
