As Republicans surge, Ralph Nader turns the screws on Democrats (VIDEO)

May 11, 2018 By Egberto Willies

Sorry, there was a YouTube error.

It gives me no pleasure in saying I told you so for absent a blue wave, it is clear that a resurgent Republican Party will materially harm the personal economies of most Americans. But this wound is self-inflicted, and there is not much time to fix. Ralph Nader hits the nail on the head.

Ralph Nader tells an inconvenient truth

The Democratic party can't landslide "the worst, the most ignorant, the most corporate indentured, the cruelest Republican party in history"

They need to "stop scapegoating" and "look in the mirror" – @RalphNader pic.twitter.com/TnUdyCimXk

Ralph Nader statement was spot on and should rattle the Democratic Party.

“I think the Democratic Party should take the third party agenda away from it. They should have a living wage, crack down on corporate crime, full Medicare for All. Democratic Party, stop scapegoating, look in the mirror, and ask yourself why you cannot landslide the worst, the most ignorant, the most corporate indentured, the cruelest Republican Party in history. Look in the mirror.”

In February I wrote the article titled “Trump & the Republicans are on the rise, and we warned about it” that got slaughtered by many Democrats who insisted I was being negative and could not read polls among other things. I wrote the following.

Every time I warned about Republicans poised to make a comeback many said I was either a pessimist, a person unable to read the real sentiment of the country, or I was creating disagreement among Democrats. No. I feared that Democrats thought they were going to coast to victory. I knew that unseen to most, the dollars of the plutocracy was at work distributing false narratives directly to Americans while circumventing the noise on cable news.

These guys operate in churches, community events, and many other local venues. I see it first-hand here in my very Conservative community, Kingwood, Texas. So while the Democratic Party Establishment continue to operate like a closed cabal unable to change with the times, a party, the Republican Party, with terrible policies can continue to construct wins.

Additionally, many of us pointed out that Democrats were once again pulling defeat from what should be a sure victory. We were not the only ones sounding the alarm. The Priorities USA Super PAC warned Democrats as well.

We have a Democratic Party through its different appendages, trying to squelch the most active and vibrant portion of the party by repeating the mistakes of the past. We have not lost it completely yet. It is time to regroup. The Progressive wing of the party needs to disregard the Democratic Establishment and hit the pavement with a message that will sell in every district in America.
