Sometimes one tweet can be more effective in explaining a dysfunctional wrong-policied president than paragraphs in prose form which can be very antiseptic. Arnold Schwarzenegger smoked the president as a troglodyte with one tweet.

“I eagerly await the administration’s regulations protecting pagers, fax machines, and Blockbuster,” Arnold Schwarzenegger tweeted. I doubt that the president will get it. He is too insular within his thought process. But even his coal miner proteges will. It is not difficult to see from that simple tweet, the obviousness of Trump in a time warp, the real implication of today’s Conservatism.

And that is why so many, the moderate Conservatives, are scared. Trump represents that purity in Conservative thought, the status quo, what many are comfortable with, a resistance to change, and the fear of the other one does not quite know or choose not to know.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been pushing back on the president for some time now. One hopes that as Trump pushes the ultimate absurdity of playing out the Conservative values to the extremes, it will ultimately bring resolution from the untenability of the ideology in practice. That is a necessary hope.
