Trump voters have dug in on CNN and other networks even with all of Donald Trump’s evil acts. Recently there is anecdotal evidence that the tide may be turning as many of his more sensible voters are unable to take the farce any longer.
CNN brought in a panel of Trump supporters. While there were still die-hard supporters, some took exception to their vote for the president.
Trump Voter: The biggest mistake I have ever made.
Trump Voter: The President is a monster
“When I look at him now I think he is a monster. I think he is a bigot,” Jeremy Montanez said. “I think he is doing a lot of things to ruin people’s lives. I think that he has taken this country in the wrong direction. And it is a terrifying time for me.”
Montanez said that what did it for him is what Trump did at the border with separating kids from their parents. He also objected to the President’s response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. He said it was clear it had to do with their hue.
Another one of the President’s voters realized what he is very apt at doing.
“This is the problem with what the president is doing,” Christopher J. Gagin said. “He is able to divide us on these issues. We are now fighting amongst ourselves. You look at Charlottesville. You look at the separation of the families on the border. I have never seen an individual who is so good at connecting with sort of average people that has no ability to communicate or control the way he communicates.”
Several times during the Obama Administration when the Right Wing attacked him and his policy, he would calmly talk about the fever breaking. It never broke during his administration. It became a chronic illness. One hopes that in fact, the fever is breaking for the sake of the country. It will start with the Progressive majority voting in the numbers they represent and for the Trump voters who see the light to start voting in their own interest. That is how we realize the Blue Wave.
